Vincenza “Vincie” Castiglione Russell passed away peacefully Friday, September 10, 2021 with her loving husband by her side. She was born in Gloversville, New York, daughter of Mary and Salvatore Castiglione. She was especially proud of her Italian heritage. Vincie retired after many years at NYNEX. She was a devout Catholic.

  • Vincie loved her family most of all. She took pride in her cooking and set out a feast every Christmas Eve. Everyone was welcome at Vincie’s home.

She loved to travel and bring home gifts for everyone. She also loved spending winters in Myrtle Beach.

The world has lost a wonderful person. Our world is a sadder place without her.

She is survived by her loving husband, Arthur; her children, Mark Russell (Mary Ann) and Susan Pedrosa (Marc); and her grandchildren, Steven Russell, Sarah Russell, Alex (Trish) Pedrosa, Eileen Pedrosa and Matt Pedrosa. They all loved their Nauni. She also leaves behind a sister, Linda Christino (Louis); brother, Rick Castiglione; sister-in-law, Nancy Glumpe and many devoted friends.

A private burial will be held at Our Lady of Peace Cemetery, Baldwinsville, NY.
