Tropical Storm Weather Channel Nicholas coverage for Apple TV, Roku, Fire TV, iOS and Android

Story Highlights

  • Tropical Storm Nicholas is skirting the Texas Gulf Coast as it heads northward. Forecasters said they anticipate a landfall late tonight or early Tuesday along the Texas coast south of the Houston-Galveston area as a strong tropical storm or a minimal category 1 hurricane.

  • That means it’s important to be able to follow coverage even if you don’t have cable. Fortunately, there are Live TV Streaming Services that offer Free Trials, and Free Streaming Options so you can get the latest information available on Tropical Storm Nicholas.

Rainfall amounts in excess of 12 inches are expected over parts of southeast Texas and into portions of Louisiana as a result of Nicholas. Tropical Storm Warnings and a Hurricane Watch has been issued for parts of southeast Texas, according to the National Hurricane Center.

The good news is that all of these services work on your TV, as well as your phone — so if you lose internet connection, but still have cell service — you can still follow the storm coverage.

DIRECTV STREAM offers The Weather Channel as part of its Choice, Ultimate, and Premier plans, but does not offer a free trial.
