The fresh leak revealed camera specifications for the Xiaomi Redmi Note 12

Digital Chat Station, a Weibo leaker, believes that the Redmi Note 12 will include a flat screen with a hole-punch front camera, a 50 MP triple rear camera array, and will retain the design of its predecessor. The Redmi Note 12 series is likely to be released in Q2 of 2022. Little is known about the highly anticipated Redmi Note 12 series of smartphones, other that they are expected to launch in Q2 2022. According to one source, the Redmi Note 12 will be an all-MediaTek affair, while another stated that one of the devices may employ a Snapdragon 7 Gen 1 processor. It’ll be interesting to see the specifications differences between the Redmi Note 12, Redmi Note 12 Pro and Redmi Note 12 Pro+. If previous SKUs are anything to go by (and there are a lot of them), they will be marginal, at best. The top-of-the-line Pro+ variant could offer fancy features such as 120 W fast charging and a high-end camera module, but not a whole lot more.

The vanilla Redmi Note 12 will feature a centred hole-punch selfie camera. The rear camera array will be spearheaded by a 50 MP primary sensor. It will likely be accompanied by an 8 MP telephoto lens and 2 MP macro lens. As an entry-level device, it will reuse a lot of design elements of its predecessor, the leak adds. It seems that Redmi wants to deliver a “balanced” experience with the vanilla Redmi Note 12, according to Digital Chat Station.
