Improvements for sandboxed Linux applications in Flatpak 1.14

News Tech: The most recent feature version of Flatpak 1.14, the industry-leading open-source tool for sandboxing and distributing Linux applications, has been made available.

– Flatpak commands supporting the “–user” option now allow an alias of “-u” as well.

This Linux programme sandboxing technology has received a number of primarily minor and lower-level changes with Flatpak 1.14:

– The command-line interface now properly informs the user of the apps that are using end-of-life run-time extensions.

– The SELinux policy has been updated to cover symbolic links within /var/lib/flatpak.

– Various other bug fixes and improvements.
