News Tech: A new form of air conditioner cools without using electricity, Tesla is raising the price of its full self-driving (FSD) capability, and hackers are considering leveraging cookie sessions to undermine multi-factor authentication.

The upfront cost of Tesla’s complete self-driving function is rising by $3,000 to $15,000 from the prior price. Tesla CEO Elon Musk, who is currently dealing with legal challenges related to the acquisition of the social media site, revealed the news on Twitter. If an order has already been placed, the business will honour the current pricing of $12,000, according to Engadget. The upgrade, which makes capabilities like advanced active guidance and assisted driving available, is available to any Tesla vehicle with an FSD computer 3.0 or higher. It’s unclear at this time whether the subscription for fully autonomous driving would also include a proportional price increase.

A non-electric air conditioner has been developed by one company. The liquid nitrogen used in the Israeli-developed and patented Kensho keeps the room chilly. Without utilising a fan, the device creates a light breeze at -10C. In its place, it makes use of the pressure created when nitrogen changes from a liquid to a gas. Kensho not only uses less energy, but the only byproduct is nitrogen, which makes up around 70% of outdoor air. It is also absolutely silent because there are no electrical components. The nitrogen would need to be renewed every seven to ten days, thereby making it into a subscription, so there is a catch.
