News Tech: a fresh approach to maintaining the focal point on your images’ key subjects. For Magic Eraser, Google Photos has added a new camouflage feature. Distracting colours in your photographs are camouflaged so that they organically blend in with the surroundings. The Pixel 6 and Pixel 6 Pro now have the update, which was initially made available for the Pixel 6a. Magic Eraser, one of the Pixel’s most distinctive features, has got a cute little upgrade. Google Photos has included a new Magic Eraser feature called “Camouflage” that debuted on the Pixel 6a.
Now available on the Pixel 6 and 6 Pro, this new Camouflage feature allows users to mute distracting colors in their photos. The tool works on everything from old photos to screenshots and more. If you have one of the Pixel 6 handsets, you can access this feature by going to Google Photos > selecting a picture > tapping the edit tab > scrolling over to the tools tab > selecting Magic Eraser > and tapping on Camouflage. The tool works similar to Magic Eraser where all you need to do is circle the offending object with your finger and the software takes care of the rest.
The effect isn’t as drastic as completely erasing an object out of the picture. However, the main point of the Camouflage tool is to neatly blend these distractions into the background. This way you can make sure nothing is stealing attention from the most important elements of your photo.
