News Tech: Ilan Buganim (pictured) is the new Chief Technology Officer of Sapiens International Corp., a global manufacturer of software for insurance and financial services. As CTIO (Chief Technology Information Officer) from February 2022, his mission is simple. He is to lead the ongoing work to shape the company’s future technology focus. “My job is to lead Sapiens into the next generation of technology and remain an industry leader. Buganim is characterized by several special regions. “We are moving away from core systems to [user experience] technology and digital technology,” he said Buganim.

Buganim previously gained management experience in technology-oriented companies such as NAYAX, Amdocs and Bank Leumi. Technology transformation is never an easy process. Pursuing this requires juggling multiple actions at once, Buganim said. “We have a lot of work to do together. We need to consider decisions to improve and continue to serve our customers and continue to build credibility,” he said Buganim. “I don’t write anything from scratch”.

“I am also responsible for transitioning our product to a SaaS offering, making it more cloud-native and providing cloud services to our customers”. As CTIO, Buganim oversees the technology direction of an Israel-based company with over 4,800 employees. Sapiens operates in over 30 countries around the world and claims to have over 600 customers. According to the company’s website, the company’s annual sales are over $464 million. Buganim leads the Global CTO Office and his IT, Cyber, Cloud Services and Products, as well as Digital and Data Products and Services.

For Sapiens, it means not only that the company is trying new things, but also updating its 600 customers and engaging them in discussions as newer technology products and services are envisioned and developed. I am also working on Also, innovation doesn’t always have a timetable. Boughanim said he scoffed at the idea because technology is constantly evolving. “You can’t limit yourself to the one year or two years because [a deadline is set]. Everything changes,” Buganym argued. “There is no need to move from very old technology to cutting edge technology.
