News Sports: Pep Guardiola, the manager of Manchester City, has extended his contract by two years, keeping him with the Premier League champions through 2025, the team announced on Wednesday.
Confirming the news, club president Khaldoon Al Mubarak said: “I am delighted that Pep’s journey with Manchester City Football Club is continuing. He has contributed so much to the success and fabric of this organization, and it’s exciting to think about what could be achieved with the energy, desire and ambition he still has.

“Under his very special leadership, our first team has achieved so much, while continuously playing and constantly evolving, a style of City football that is admired around the world. Like all City fans, I look forward to what lies ahead.
“From day one, I felt there was something special here. I couldn’t be in a better place than that.
“I still feel we can do more together and that’s why I want to stay and keep fighting for titles.” We would all like to take this opportunity to congratulate Pep on his new contract and wish him the best of luck for the remainder of his time at Manchester City.
