In Science and Space: Icelandic transatlantic airline Play names Washington DC as its fourth route in the US and put tickets on sale.
The carrier already flies from multiple European cities – via Reykjavik – to nearby Baltimore/Washington International airport, as well as to New York and Boston in the US.
Play, which started services in spring 2022, will offer departures from London Stansted and Dublin to Washington’s Dulles International airport, via its Reykjavik hub, from 26 April 2023. Flights will operate five times per week on Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday and Sunday.
Play is currently operating three Airbus A321neo and three Airbus A320neo aircraft. It will add another four aircraft over the winter to continue its expansion next year.
