Rumors: The official release date for Huawei’s upcoming flagship smartphones was revealed today. On September 6, the Mate 50 series will be unveiled in China. Rumors suggest that we will see at least four phones, including the Mate 50E, the standard Mate 50, the Mate 50 Pro, and the premium Mate 50 Porsche Design RS.
A new MatePad Pro 11 was already introduced in July, and now we expect to see a bigger 12.4” variant with dual cameras. Although the biggest shopping days of the year are still several months away, we can’t think of a better time to be in the market for Google-made Pixel devices than the last few weeks. Hot on the heels of some absolutely killer deals on the old Pixel 4 and Pixel 5 handsets, as well as the newer Pixel 6 and 6 Pro powerhouses and the just-released Pixel 6a mid-ranger, Amazon is now offering hardcore Google fans a rare opportunity to complete their collection of products designed by the search giant at a substantial discount.
Huawei Mate 50 lineup is arriving on September 6. The event is also likely to see Huawei announce XMage, its own imaging engine, that is supposed to replace Leica in the development of a photo-enhancing algorithm that brings us stunning night photos. All phones are also expected to have a special NPU, developed by HiSilicon, that will do the math needed by XMage.
