The real-life photograph of the OPPO Reno8 has been leaked. At the same time, China’s 3C authorities has given its approval to the device. The Reno8 series could debut in the United States as early as May.

The above-shown photograph of the Reno8 was shared by popular Chinese tipster Digital Chat Station. The device’s name has not been mentioned officially by the tipper. The information obtained through the leak, however, strongly suggests that it is the vanilla model from the impending Reno8 lineup.

The purported Reno8 retains the punch-hole display design from its predecessor model. The snapshot also reveals that it is powered by the upcoming Snapdragon 7-series chipset. It is a 4nm chip featuring 4 x Cortex A710 CPU cores clocking at 2.36GHz, 4 x Cortex A510 CPU cores running at 1.80GHz, and an Adreno 662 GPU. The chipset is expected to debut in May with the Snapdragon 7 Gen 1 name. RedmI have it that the Reno8 will be the first device to arrive with SD7G1.

Previous reports have claimed that the model number of the OPPO Reno8 is PGAM10. The device is popped up in the 3C’s database with an 11V/7.3A charger, which indicates that it will carry support for 80W rapid charging.

The phone will have a Snapdragon 7 Gen 1 processor, LPDDR5 RAM, UFS 3.1 storage, and a 4,500mAh battery. Its rear camera setup will comprise a 50-megapixel Sony IMX766 main camera, an 8-megapixel ultrawide lens, and a 2-megapixel macro/depth camera. The device will run on the Android 12 OS with the ColorOS UI on top.
