Lewisville nearing the opening of a simulated reality sports complex serving tacos and 40 draft beers

“iCompeteX was designed to be the future of family entertainment,” Vince Lee, iCompete Entertainment Corp. vice president said in a news release.

Story Highlights:

  • ICompete Experience, an entertainment venue that will feature a restaurant, simulated golf, baseball, darts, axe-throwing and immersive-tech billiards is planning to open Feb. 1 at Lewisville’s Music City Mall.

  • The company says its “active sports eatertainment” concept is a convergence of e-sports, augmented reality, simulation and immersive technology.

The main bar has a 20-foot-tall LED television, a self-pour beer and wine wall. The bar also includes a large menu from John Franke, former corporate chef of Haywire, Velvet Taco, Whiskey Cake and Mexican Sugar.

The space will also be available for private parties.

The food menu was designed by John Franke, a former corporate chef at Front Burner restaurants (Sixty Vines, Whiskey Cake, Mexican Sugar). Executive chef Phil Hoy is planning to serve a global menu of tacos, flatbreads, wings and sushi, according to the release.
