Elon Musk accused Twitter Inc’s legal team of violating a nondisclosure agreement by revealing that the sample size for the social media platform’s automatic user checks was 100 on Saturday.
Elon Musk claims that the Twitter legal team informed him that he had violated the NDA
Mr. Musk tweeted on Friday that his $44 billion cash plan to take the firm private was “temporarily on hold” while he awaited data on the company’s bogus account proportion.
Musk, the CEO of Tesla Inc., tweeted, “Twitter legal just called to complain that I broke their NDA by exposing the bot check sample size is 100!”
To identify the bots, he said his team would test “a random sample of 100 followers” on Twitter. Twitter made the charge after his response to a query.
When a user asked Musk to “elaborate on process of filtering bot accounts,” he replied, “I picked 100 as the sample size number, because that is what Twitter uses to calculate <5% fake/spam/duplicate.”
