In Android Oreo and above like Pie and Android 12, the process of installing Google Play Store is a bit more complicated than before.

  • Open up Settings app.
  • Choose Apps and notifications option (may be named Apps or similar, depending on the phone).
  • Click on View all apps (or All).
  • Scroll down and select your mobile web browser – for example Chrome.
  • Choose Install unknown apps choice.
  • Activate Allow from this resource choice.
  • After setting the options above, it’s time to download and install the Google Play Store.

  • Using browser on your device go to APK Mirror website download APK for the latest version of Play Store.
  • A message may appear stating that “this type of file can damage your device.” Ignore it and tap OK.
  • Open up apk (you can tap download complete in the notification menu), read the new permissions that the new version of the Play Store requires, and then tap Install it.
