In this article, we’ll show you how enable the secret Glyph lights music visualization feature. The Nothing Phone 1 is undoubtedly one of the most unique smartphones we’ve seen in a while. Its transparent back panel and Glyph-lit interface help it stand out from the competition and unlock some cool (albeit unusual) features.

The Glyph Lights of Nothing (1) are great and offer a number of features like Flip to Glyph and Charging Meter. However, there is a secret feature hidden in the Glyph interface settings that is not so easy to get to. This is a Music Visualization feature, and thanks to a report from XDA Developers, we now know how to enable this hidden setting.

The Nothing Phone 1’s glyph lighting interface also has a music visualization feature that synchronizes the LEDs with the music played through the phone’s speakers. However, you won’t find it in the Glyph UI settings on your device. For some reason nothing has hidden this feature by default and you need to do the following to enable it on your device. Below are the steps to turn on Music Visualiser’s secret feature, Glyph lights.

How to Enable Secret Glyph Lights Music Visualization Features

There’s a very real possibility that this feature will eventually be part of the main settings by default, but at the time of this writing it’s a hidden feature that requires you to jump through a few small hoops. Here’s how to activate it:

Step 1: Open the Phone app and ‘Add Contact’

Step 2: Create a contact named ‘Abra’ and save it

Step 3: Now open Settings > Glyph Interface > Ringtones

Step 4: Select ‘Add Contact’ and select ‘Abra’

Step 5: Choose any custom ringtone for that contact and click “Save”

Once you’ve gone through this process, you’ll now see a “Music Visualization” option in the ‘Glyph Interface’ settings menu. Tap on it and then turn the feature on.

Now when you play music through your phone’s speakers and turn your phone face down, you’ll see the LED lights pulsate to the music. It’s pretty cool, try it.
